Hi everyone. I have been riding since 1984 and have gone through the usual phase of loving crotch rockets to cruiser bikes. I have had around 10 bikes over the years

Currently I have a 2000 Shadow Tourer 1100, a 98 Vstar 650 and most recently my 1985 Xv1000. I have tinkered around with bikes for many years and have some experience with repairing things and like fixing problems that arise.

My Virago has 35k miles on in and is showing its age with some problems which brings me here.

I am looking forward to learning about this bike

an Information begeistert.
.Mal sehen, was da draus wird.

First off: You have a great site with with so much useful information and inspiration.
I´m a former, and hopefully soon to be again, TR1 (XV 920r actually) rider.
It was my first bike in 1989 and I rode it for 8 Years and about 70000 km, until a car, taking a wrong turn, stopped me dead at 90 km/h. I survived with minor injuries but my beloved TR1 died instantly. I´ve had several bikes in the meantime.
At the moment I´m on a 650 Dominator from 1991, which I got for free, as it needed a lot of work. It´ fun to ride and very reliable but after 85000 km and almost 30 years of service it´s getting a little tired all around. And of course, it´s not a V-twin and certainly not a TR1.
As I don´t like modern bikes, I hope to acquire a 1981 XV920R with 48000 Km next month.
I intend to ride it on a daily basis until one of us can´t go on any more.
If everything works out I´m going to be a regular visitor to your site from the near future.
Keep up the good work and greetings from Belgium.

Hi all you Tr1 folks. I was the proud owner of the first XV920RH in North America. It gave me the most fun I´ve ever had (with my clothes on!). Sadly my ex wife insisted I remove it from her shed a few years ago. To be fair to her, we had already been divorced for about 20 years, so she had a point!

I have now been back in the UK for 20 years and had a BT1100 for a while. Now I´m ready to rejoin your ranks so I´m looking for a TR1 to be a bit creative with. And as the next rally is near my home I have a deadline of August 16th!

This is a great site full of excellent information and fantastic bikes. I love it. My heartfelt thanks to everyone involved in making it happen and keeping it going. Well done.

See you in Pitton - Texx

Hi. It´s been a few years since I gave away my TR1 (what was I thinking?) and in order to save myself the heartache, I stopped visiting this site at the same time. Now it´s coming back, albeit under somewhat tragic circumstances, so I´m back too! I couldn´t remember my old username or password, so I´ve just started afresh.Despite the sadness it´s good to be back!

P.S. Complimenti per il sito ;-) ;-) :-D

Hallo Manfred,

3 x Daumen hoch.
Freut mich :-)
